There is no useful universal price
The same standard can apply to a small single-site service business or a complex organisation with many locations. A credible quote starts with scope and readiness. This guide explains the factors; it does not publish an unverified price range.
Scope, sites and operational complexity
Business activities, personnel, locations, shifts and outsourced processes influence the effort involved. Remote support does not automatically remove onsite assessment or travel needs. The independent certification body determines its applicable audit requirements.
Current readiness and evidence
An organisation with established processes and recent internal reviews may need a different level of support from one building its first management system. The initial assessment should distinguish missing documentation from missing operational practice.
Separate the different cost components
Ask for advisory and implementation support, training, internal review, independent certification-body charges, travel and taxes to be identified as applicable. Clarify whether follow-up work on findings is included and what triggers an additional fee.
Consider the continuing commitment
The initial assessment is only part of the picture. Account for management time, maintaining controls, applicable surveillance and recertification, changes in scope and edition transitions. Confirm these terms with the relevant providers.
Compare proposals on the same basis
Check the exact standard and edition, scope, locations, deliverables, responsibilities, independent certification route, exclusions and payment terms. Where accredited certification is required, verify the relevant scope rather than relying on a general accreditation statement.
Treat the target date as a planning input
Completion depends on readiness, operating evidence, assessment scheduling and how findings are resolved. A sales deadline should not be interpreted as a guaranteed certification date.
Request a scoped discussion
Share your sector, sites, approximate organisational size, current system maturity and intended standard. Include any specific contractual requirement. This makes it easier to discuss relevant support and a proposal that explains its assumptions.
